Configure Languages
Note
To facilitate explanation of configuration, will take the following Multishop scenario:
- Company Group Name
- Shops with different Domains for each country. Will configure the subdomains "en." for "English" and "es." for "Spanish" language.

Default Language for each Shop
With the aiming that module shows correctly the language list, will need assign one language to each shop. Go to: Localization > Localization
- Select the shop to configure
- Select the default language for the shop
- Disable Set language from browser
Note
Save and repeat this step on each shop.
Warning
If the step 2 is not saved correctly, you'll see the language checkbox unchecked. This happens when you try to save the same language as the shop group have already by default. In this case you have to select and save in any other language, then set and save it again with the desired language.
Language Routes
If we want to avoid the links like www.company.com/language_route(en, es, fr, etc...)/ we have to set in each shop only one language, and this language should be the default language set on the previous step. Go to Localization > Languages
- Edit each enabled language to assign the associated shops
- Verify which language you are editing
- Check in group shop only the shop with the default language configured

Save and repeat this operation for each language enabled.
Tip
If there are any other languages that are not used in the group, we will also edit it to clear all the group shops.
